President of Turkmenistan held a video-selector meeting
On September 26, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened a regular working meeting via direct video link with the participation of the Cabinet Deputy Chairman Prime in charge of the agro-industrial complex, the khyakims of velayats and of Ashgabat city.
The progress of agricultural campaigns, in particular, winter wheat sowing and cotton harvesting, as well as the priority issues of socio-economic transformation in the country, the preparations for the celebrating the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence and commissioning of commemorative buildings were the items on the meeting agenda.
Heads of regional administrations reported on fulfillment of the earlier presidential commissions on accelerating the pace and improving the organization of winter wheat sowing and cotton harvesting activities in the fields of regions. The khyakims also informed on the preparations for commissioning social and cultural facilities in velayats.
Then the Leader of nation heard the report delivered by the Cabinet Deputy Chairman R.Bazarov on the situation in the agricultural areas of the country, the progress of winter grain sowing and cotton-picking in regions.
Speaking of the need for constant control over the well-organized winter grains sowing campaign, the Turkmen Leader pointed out the slow work pace in Tejen, Serahs, Kaahka and Ak Bugday etraps of Akhal velayat. The Head of State also was dissatisfied with the progress of fulfilling the cotton harvesting plans in Kaahka and Ak Bugday etraps.
Focusing on the issues of wheat sowing activities in the country’s western region, the President of Turkmenistan drew attention of the khyakim to its low pace in Serdar and Bereket etraps.
Analyzing the situation in Dashoguz velayat, the President of Turkmenistan pointed out that in this region the low grains sowing pace had been observed in Gurbansoltan Eje and Gerogly etraps and expressed serious dissatisfaction with the cotton picking pace in Ruhubelent and Kunyaurgench etraps.
A number of specific instructions were given to the khyakim of Lebap velayat to accelerate the sowing pace in Sakar, Sayat and Birata etraps, as well as to ensure timely and high-quality harvesting of cotton in Birata and Dovletli etraps.
As for Mary velayat, the Head of State directed the attention to the slow pace of cotton picking in Bayramali, Vekilbazar, Murgab and Oguzkhan etraps, as well as the low organizational level of winter crops sowing, particularly in Murgab, Vekilbazar and Mary etraps.
President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov instructed vice-premier R.Bazarov to identify and eliminate the factors that slow down the progress of these campaigns, to coordinate the activities of relevant branches of agricultural sector and farms in velayats, as well as to ensure the effective operation of the existing special machines and high-quality implementation of the appropriate agro-technical measures.
Khyakim of Ashgabat city R.Abilov was the next to deliver the report on a state of affairs in the capital, the measures taken to step up the work pace at facilities under construction, as well as on fulfillment of the commissions given earlier by the Leader of nation. The report, in particular, included the information on the progress of improving and keeping cleanliness in the capital city of the country, on the parks modernization programs implementation, as well as the measures taken to improve the social sphere in Ashgabat.
Noting that the reforms and programs ongoing in Ashgabat shall be aimed at the welfare and further improvement of social amenities of the residents of the capital, the Turkmen Leader demanded from the khyakim to hold under control all activities carried out in this area. The Head of State also drew attention to the importance of high-quality and timely execution of work on the commemorative sites in Ashgabat, while pointing to the necessity to maintain cleanliness and order in the city, where the Turkmen capital must be a role model for the whole country.
Summarizing the outcomes of detailed discussions, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov wished all meeting attendees successes in achieving the important goals that had been set to ensure further intensive socio-economic growth, enhance the Turkmen people’s welfare, and in general, to promote development of the Homeland which is preparing for celebrating the glorious 25th anniversary of its Independence.
