The President of Turkmenistan held a video selecting meeting

On February 15, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a regular working video-selecting meeting with participation of the khyakims of velayats to consider the measures, taken to speed up the country’s socioeconomic development, discuss the progress of seasonal agricultural works, as well as to consider the issues of preparation for celebration of significant occasions, widely marked in the country.

The khyakims of velayats reported on the state of current affairs in the regions, particularly dwelling upon the course of seasonal work ongoing according to the plan, as well as the measures taken to promote further development of livestock farms. The reports included the information about the state of affairs at building sites of the velayats and the preparations for a tree planting campaign. The report was given on fulfillment of the earlier presidential commissions on allotment of lands to farms for sowing of different agricultural crops.

The information was provided about the progress of preparations for significant occasions, widely marked in the country, in particular, organization of festivities timed to the State Flag Day. The head of state was also informed about the Program of Culture Week to take place in Mary velayat.

Summing up the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov assigned to keep under the constant control all the issues related to organization of works ongoing on agricultural lands of the velayats in compliance with agro-technical norms, including the measures to ensure timely and high-quality treatment of fields with mineral fertilizers.

Demanding from the heads of regional administrations to ensure the timely fulfillment of all agro-technical activities and preparation of agricultural machinery for the sowing season, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov underscored the focus on selecting planting stock to arrange green spaces during an upcoming campaign, drawing attention to mulberry trees planting.

Accordingly, the need was pointed out for taking the responsible and complex approach to the issues of allocation of lands to farms for sowing of different agricultural crops.

Stressing the importance of a comprehensive study of the historical monuments located in Ancient Merv, on which a special emphasis was placed in enrichment of the world culture, as well as in upbringing of young people in the spirit of patriotism, as well as establishment of international cooperation in cultural-humanitarian fields, the President of Turkmenistan gave Mary velayat’s khyakim a number of relevant instructions.

The head of state also emphasized the importance of the most responsible approach to celebration of events in the national calendar.

Speaking about the relevance of objectives set to ensure economic growth of the velayats, the head of state underscored the focus on accelerating the work pace in this important area. At the present time, in consideration of the ongoing modern industrial infrastructure and new production facilities creation process, intended to promote the country’s progressive economic growth, new opportunities are provided for industrial capacity building in velayats, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov emphasized.

Summing up the working video selecting meeting, the head of state instructed the khyakims of velayats’ to take the appropriate measures to successfully solve the problems they faced and ensure coordinated work of the relevant structures.
