President of Turkmenistan convened the working video selecting meeting

On January 5, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted convened a working video selecting meeting with participation of the Chairwoman of Mejlis, Deputy Chairpersons of the Cabinet, and the heads of some sectoral departments. During the meeting, preparation for the forthcoming enlarged meeting of the Government on the work results in the national economy complex in 2015 was discussed, a number of actual objectives related to development of Turkmenistan in 2016 and some other issues requiring urgent decision were considered.

Participants in the meeting reported on a state of affairs in sectors under their supervision, the courses of future work on fulfillment of the objectives set for 2016, which was announced the Year of honoring heritage, reforming the Homeland, as well as on the plans for achievement of the goals within the framework of the launched country’s socio-economic development program.

The reports included the information on measures implemented to strengthen the legal framework of all areas of activity of the state and society, and work out the normative-legal acts, intended to promote sustainable development of the economy.

The issues of further improvement of the people’s wellbeing, accelerating the country’s industrialization, commissioning of new production plants and expanding the industries’ export potential were considered as well.

The measures on the most effective implementation of the state programs for country’s socioeconomic development were concretized in the annual work plans.

The issues of approaches to improvement of the industries performance, adoption of the best practices, introduction of latest technologies, enhancement of interstate relations and implementation of joint large-scale projects were discussed in a context of preparation for the enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers to take place on January 8.

The President of Turkmenistan drew attention of participants in the meeting to the importance of the coordinated and harmonious work of all sectors to achieve the high goals of the modern epoch, constant control over the quality and terms of completion of many buildings in the country, consistent strengthening of material and technical bases of all sectors of the economy, and training of highly qualified specialists.
