On December 26 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council, in which khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city also took place.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan obtaining the status of permanent neutrality, the Central Bank of the country is introducing into circulation modified polymer banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, and 10 manats, as well as a new polymer banknote with a denomination of 200 manats from December 1 of the current year, held under the motto "The International Year of Peace and Trust".
